Wrapping Existing Ads

When split-testing, it’s important to wrap all existing ad code inside Ezoic code for two reasons.

  • Optimization: Wrapping existing ads provides the best return—unwrapped is limiting Ezoic’s potential.
  • Protection from Google Policy Violations: Ezoic’s machine learning engine will protect you from ad density violations. Without wrapped ads, the system cannot detect ads and cannot guarantee protection from policy violations.

Step 1: Get Ezoic Code

Determine which ad locations you need to wrap:

Top Sidebar

<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-101″>
Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

Middle Sidebar

<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-102″>
Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

Bottom Sidebar

<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-103″>
Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

Top Of Page

<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-104″>
Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

Under Page Title

<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-105″>
Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

Under Paragraph 1

<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-106″>
Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

Under Paragraph 2

<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-107″>
Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

Bottom Of Page

<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-108″>
Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

If none of the locations above match existing ads and ads are in other parts of content, use the following locations and code:

Content 1 - Middle
<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-109″>
Your Existing Code Goes Here
</div>
Content 2 - Long
<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-110″>
Your Existing Code Goes Here
</div>
Content 3 - Longer
<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-111″>
Your Existing Code Goes Here
</div>
Content 4 - Longest
<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-112″>
Your Existing Code Goes Here
</div>
Content 5
<div id=”ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-113″>
Your Existing Code Goes Here
</div>

Step 2: Wrap Ad Code

Wrap ad code inside the Ezoic code corresponding to ad location.

Once you’ve wrapped your ads, you will receive an email with the next steps.
