Publisher Success Manager – DACH

Learn more about this role

About the Role:

Ezoic London opened its doors in September 2017, with a special remit to grow our business activities internationally. The success of our French and German Business Development teams means that we are now hiring Publisher Success Managers to support their work.

As the inaugural Publisher Success Manager working exclusively with our DACH publishers, your core purpose will be to drive business success for our partners by developing relationships and identifying opportunities for growth. You’ll become a trusted publisher advisor by providing insights, platform expertise, and exceptional customer support – uncovering their business needs and understanding how our range of products can grow their business.

You will be the first hire in this role – so you will have a great opportunity to positively influence strategy for these markets. Working with our DACH Business Development executives, you will learn what matters to DACH publishers in order to meet your retention goals.

You will be supported in this work by our experienced Publisher Success team both locally and internationally – but you will have the autonomy to develop a strategy tailored specifically to your market. Furthermore, progression opportunities will emerge as a result of your own success – you could be managing a team of 2 or 3 other Publisher Success Managers in 12 months’ time.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow business relationships with existing DACH Ezoic publishers
  • Educate Ezoic publishers to get the most out of Ezoic technology by presenting new features
  • Secure new business from existing publishers by onboarding more sites
  • Create strategies for identifying, engaging and returning Ezoic accounts that leave the platform
  • Work cross-functionally with Business Development to transition accounts through the sales funnel

This list is not exhaustive. Role responsibilities are simply guidance for achieving the purpose of the role.

Ideal Candidate for the role:

We’re looking for smart, curious, and committed individuals to join our diverse team in London. You’ll be a self-starter, quick and eager to learn and make a difference in this fast-growing company. You’ll be confident in expressing your opinion and comfortable using data to analyze problems.

The ability to understand and empathize with publishers is key; you’ll be able to communicate with clients and colleagues both clearly and with nuance where appropriate, adapting to the demands of different situations, making complex and technical information absorbable. You are someone for whom challenges excite rather than daunting.

In short, you are looking for something other than a regular 9-5 and want to buy into the rough and tumble of a tech start-up.

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • You are a native German speaker, or have native proficiency in German (written and oral). Training will be in English, but you will be communicating externally in German.
  • At least 3 years of sales, account management or customer success experience, including relationship management
  • While experience in digital publishing is not necessary, evidence of interest is required.

What additional benefits are there to working at Ezoic?

  • Lucrative bonus scheme based on account retention (+$24,000 a year when targets are met).
  • Coaching and support to aid personal and professional development
  • Free staff lunch twice a week
  • Flexible working: organize your own working day to suit your needs and the requirements of the role
  • Free snacks/beer/drinks
  • A generous holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Paid holiday and sickness days
  • Private medical insurance
